KNOW LIVE SPEAK

KNOW LIVE SPEAK the Truth Glow

Three simple words that can change the world by shaping our lives as Christians.  It makes for a wonderful pattern of how to worship in Spirit and in Truth.

KNOW                                                                                                                                      Do we truly have a desire to know Jesus more?  Have you bathed in the riches of His glory contained in His Word?  Has the Word been your living water day by day to make it through the times of drought and darkness?  Get serious about knowing your Lord today!  There is strength, power, and transformation waiting for you in the pages of scripture.  If Jesus is the Word that dwelt among us and God will write that Word upon our heart, how will it get there if it is sitting on your shelf?  Dive in today reading on of the beautiful Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John.

LIVE                                                                                                                                        Do you read for knowledge only or are you hoping to draw close to Christ?  Having knowledge has little effect on the world around us unless we submit to living it. James stated, “faith without works is dead”. One of the greatest ways we and others can see God work in our lives is by submitting to Him through living His word. Take note, we can not live His word in our strength, but His.  We are called to do things beyond our power:  Love your enemy, Make no provision for the flesh, be a cheerful giver, etc.  The Christian life is a life of surrender.  We are forever submitting ourselves to the teaching of others and their ideas whether we realize it or not.  Why not intentionally submit yourself to live by the Words of our Lord and Savior?

SPEAK                                                                                                                                    Matthew tells us “it is not what goes into the mouth that defiles a person, but what comes out of the mouth; this defiles a person.”.  Paul shares with the Ephesians “Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.”  James reminds of the power of the tongue, “Look at the ships also: though they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are guided by a very small rudder wherever the will of the pilot directs.  So also the tongue is a small member, yet it boasts of great things.”

So where are you directing your tongue?  It’s been said that the mouth is the overflow of the heart.  Submit yourself, therefore, to the truths that are in God’s Word today and let your heart be cleansed; that the overflow of your heart may be the very words written on your heart by our great and mighty God!

Know Jesus as Lord, Live as He is alive in you, and Speak of the great things He has done in your life today!

  1. Really, really good thought Brian. So often we take in knowledge but do nothing with it.
