As I read chapter 25 I can’t help but compare this event to what happened to Jesus. Paul was called to suffer in a similar fashion to his Savior. There were serious charges without proof as the means by which to accuse.  On the surface it is filled with injustice, but in the overall narrative of God’s plan, it is one piece that encourages many to walk with Him even during the greatest persecution.

1) What observations did you make?

2) What questions need to be answered to understand the passage fully?

3) What is the main theme?

4) What is the life application for the original readers?

5) How does this passage apply to believers today and you personally?

I hope you find great encouragement today!

Even while Paul was accused, he took every opportunity to explain the gospel.  Though the intent of Felix may have being to get money from Paul, it didn’t curb Paul’s passion and willingness to share over the course of two years.  He pressed on fully trusting in Jesus, His finished work at the cross, and the promises that God would reveal this truth to His people.

Acts Bible Study 21:27-22:30 https://brianfriedl.com/acts-bible-study-2127-2230/ Tue, 08 Nov 2016 10:43:32 +0000 http://brianfriedl.com/acts-bible-study-2127-2230/   Paul’s path and purpose became clear after his encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus.  Whether mocked, beaten, or scourged, he was unwilling to stray from his mission. The person of Jesus and the love shown by his finished work at the cross, has the power to save a soul and change the paradigm of life for all eternity.  Things can never be the same after such an event.  His love compels us to live for Him every moment of every day!
