An internal change only with no public confession communicates something other than joy.  How could we receive the marvelous gift of eternal life and not confess, shout and praise the One who gave it to us?  

Not only is it an opportunity to praise Him but it also invites an accountability from others in the body of Christ.  It establishes the seriousness of you presenting your body as a living sacrifice to the LORD.  It confirms you are “All In”.  No flying under the radar, playing Christian, or hanging our in the Christian country club.  You are His!

Reflection

Are you hiding your faith from some who would ridicule you?

In what areas and to whom can you live and speak your faith where God has you right now?

God has given you a spirit of boldness to be a minister of reconciliation.  Walk in that spirit.  

Prayer

LORD, You are worthy to be praised. We rejoice that our hearts know You and Your mercy so much so that we want to scream from the rooftops Your mighty deeds.  Give us a boldness to change the world for You with Your love. In Jesus, Amen!

I was living in the clutches of slavery and death. In hearing the gospel, my heart was convicted and encouraged.  I answered humbly but excitedly to my Father in heaven, “I believe!”  I confessed and repented(turned away from) of my sins and I found a hope like nothing I had ever known.

Jesus rose on the third day, and so is now available to offer life each and every day.  Surrender today.

Reflection

Jesus simply asked, “Do you believe?  A simply yes or no question I ask you today. Do you believe that Jesus, in fact, died for your sins on that cross?

Do you believe that His death and resurrection has conquered sin and death for you?

Prayer

Father, be with all those still making their decision.  Reveal Your truth that they may see your great love.  In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Even While shackled in prison for the Lord, they were a blessing to other prisoners.  Even in the most desperate of situations, the LORD was to be praised.  

When we see the big picture of the LORD’s work and trust him in all things we won’t be shaken(except by an earthquake that provides the way for an entire household to be saved

Furthermore, is that belief followed up by action? Jesus asked His disciples who others said He was and then asked them who They say He is.  To challenge to the next level, who do we live that He is?   Our actions flow from what we genuinely believe at the core of who we are.  If we believe the Gospel and God’s Word to be true we will live according to that truth.

Prayer Focus

Heavenly Father, help us in our unbelief. Direct our minds to you. Let us recount the miracles of old and see you in our lives today. May praise flood our minds and be delivered from our lips forever.  May our faith please you, lead others to you, and bring you honor and glory. In Jesus Name, Amen!
