Weak, Alone, And Worthless?

The Christian life is a life that demands your full attention.  If we are living as we ought to, the enemy will be prowling near us often.  We must be ready for his attacks.

He will attempt to divide you off from the family of God and make you feel alone, weak, and worthless.  Nothing could be further from the truth.

You have been adopted into the family of God and are never alone. In fact, you have he Holy Spirit dwelling inside you and He testifies to this truth also.

God’s word tells us that we are more than conquerors in Christ. His strength is perfected in our weakness.  Our own strength is irrelevant and unnecessary.

Finally, we were made in the image of God Himself.  He gave us value that can never be taken away.

So submit to God, resist the devil and He will flee from you.  His prowling doesn’t need to scare us, but instead reminds us of the strength and victory we have in Christ!

Reflection

What lies from the devil are you most prone to believe? (alone, weak, and worthless?)

What verses dispel those lies?

Praise God for His perfect plan and power that has overcome the enemy of this world forever!

Prayer

Father, we are not alone, weak, and worthless!  Instead You have made us joint heirs with Christ!  What a privilege it is to serve you.  Help ground us in Your truth and be alert to the devil’s schemes.  May our faith keep us firmly fixed on You as we encourage one another even more as the day approaches.  In Jesus, Amen!
