Being a believer should result in a longing to be with our wonderful Savior in heaven. There are days when we’ve had enough of living in this fallen world and are more than ready for  the ultimate joy with no more pain no more tears!

Along with this longing; however, is the heart of God and the necessity of carrying out His mission. You’re needed here by the ones who need to see  Jesus and hear about Him from you.  As Paul put it to be with Jesus is “very much better” but it is “more necessary” to remain here carrying out God’s plan.

I believe keeping your eyes on Jesus equips you to do both. It prevents us from losing our passion and longing to be with Him and at the same time energizes us to bring him honor and glory by sharing His truth and grace. 

Who is it around you that needs the love of Jesus today? Will you grasp the necessity of your involvement and live out what you were rescued for?
